Jaand’s debut single ‘Young Love’ is closely interwoven with a gentleness that sets her apart both as an artist and as a person. The result is a song of young love, and a journey into the unknown.

Jaand takes a calm and relaxed approach to the creative process, with everything reduced to a minimum. The only other person involved in the single was the producer Marco Jeger (Dodo, Lo & Leduc, Nemo), allowing for a very direct and personal interpretation.

Jaand travelled to Berlin with a demo of piano and vocals for the studio work – and came back to Basel a week later with the finished song.

‘Young Love’ embodies precisely the blend of heaviness and lightness that is typical for Jaand, and is reflected in everything she creates.
